Role Description

This full-time Concrete Finisher role is a hybrid position based in Albuquerque, NM, with primary work on job sites and some tasks that can be completed from home, such as documentation or scheduling. The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, and curing concrete for slabs, sidewalks, foundations, and other structural or decorative elements. Daily tasks include setting and stripping forms, leveling and smoothing concrete surfaces, applying textures or stamps, and ensuring proper grading and drainage. The role also involves reading basic plans, collaborating with supervisors and crew members, following safety procedures, and maintaining tools and equipment. Occasional coordination of material orders, project updates, and reporting may be handled remotely.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate and maintain power tools related to concrete work (e.g., saws, grinders, vibrators).
• Experience with formwork and flatwork, including setting forms, reading survey, elevations, blueprints, 5+ years of concrete finishing slabs and flat surfaces.
• Basic carpentry skills for building and forming monolithic slabs on grade, stem walls, curb and gutter, sidewalks/walkways, etc.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment use around concrete projects (e.g., skid steers, mini excavators, concrete mixers), etc.
• Understanding of concrete placement, screeding, bull floating, floating, edging, hand tooling, finishing, power troweling, curing, stamping, sealing, and repair techniques.
• Commitment to job-site safety, including use of PPE and adherence to company and OSHA regulatory standards.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Albuquerque, NM, and ability to work standard construction hours.
• Prior experience as a Concrete Finisher or related construction role is a must; relevant experience is required!
