Job summary

Fox Cities Builders is seeking a detail-driven Concrete Estimator to join our growing team. You will develop accurate cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals for commercial, agricultural, and concrete construction projects.

Working closely with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients, you will help ensure projects are priced competitively and financially sound from the start.

Qualifications

• Strong math and analytical skills are required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and bid documents.
• Experience with concrete estimating or related construction management is preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and project requirements.
• Perform detailed concrete quantity takeoffs for foundations, footings, slabs, walls, and site work.
• Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, and production costs.
• Assist with contract reviews, scope verification, and pre-construction planning.
• Support project handoffs to operations and field teams.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in turning project opportunities into successful builds by developing accurate cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals for commercial, agricultural, and concrete construction projects.
