Centrie Concrete Cutting & Drilling LLC is seeking an entry-level Concrete Cutting Operator Assistant to support the main operator on job sites in Kalamazoo, MI. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting and drilling equipment, assist with preparation, and help maintain a clean, safe worksite.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and the ability to learn quickly. No experience with slab saws required, but comfort with varied hours and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Pass pre-employment health screenings, background checks, and safety training modules.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn and follow job site safety protocols and properly use PPE.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work varied hours during days/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary.
• Physically able to perform work: carry equipment and tools as required to perform the job.

Job description

We are looking for a Concrete Cutting Operator Assistant to join our team. This role supports concrete cutting and drilling projects by assisting the main operator with job site tasks, equipment preparation, and site cleanup. The Operator Assistant helps ensure projects run smoothly while following safety protocols and maintaining high-quality service standards. This is an entry-level position (no experience using slab saws, core drills, and wall saws) with an opportunity to learn a valuable trade and advance in the company. Experience in construction preferred.
