Job summary

Keeley Construction in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Concrete Carpenter with strong striping expertise to join our construction team. You will read blueprints, build and install concrete forms, and prepare formwork for pouring.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications for concrete formwork.
• 2+ years experience in concrete formwork and carpentry.
• Experience with various forming systems (wood, modular, etc.).
• Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment specific to concrete work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and materials for concrete formwork.
• Build, erect, install, and repair concrete forms and structures using wood, metal, or other materials.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, or other materials to create precise formwork for pouring.
• Construct and set forms for foundations, walls, columns, stairs, and other concrete structures.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and bracing of forms to meet specifications and stability.
• Install expansion joints and embedded items in concrete structures as specified.
• Strip and dismantle formwork after concrete has cured.
• Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and materials used in concrete carpentry and striping work.
• Check completed formwork for quality, stability, and compliance with specifications.
• Apply curing compounds or perform additional concrete finishing tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Concrete Carpentry Support:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and materials needed for concrete formwork.
• Build, erect, install, and repair concrete forms and structures using wood, metal, or other materials.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, or other materials to create precise formwork for concrete pouring.
• Construct and set forms for foundations, walls, columns, stairs, and other concrete structures.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and bracing of forms to meet specifications and ensure stability.
• Install expansion joints and embedded items in concrete structures as specified.
• Strip and dismantle formwork after concrete has sufficiently cured.
• Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and materials used in concrete carpentry and striping work.
• Check completed formwork for quality, stability, and compliance with specifications.
• Apply curing compounds or perform additional concrete finishing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in concrete formwork and carpentry.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with various forming systems (traditional wood forms, modular systems, etc.).
• Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment specific to concrete work.
• Strong understanding of concrete properties and curing requirements.
• Knowledge of proper forming techniques for various concrete elements.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
