Job summary

Cemex in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Tender Block to join our operations team. This physically demanding role involves moving concrete blocks weighing about 50 lbs, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will operate forklifts and conveyors, perform lifting, bending, and sweeping, and help maintain a safe work environment while supporting production needs. Experience with forklift operation is preferred; electrical, welding, or fabricating backgrounds are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50lb concrete blocks repeatedly.
• Must be capable of bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping and shoveling.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and understand direction.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to operate conveyors and vertical ladders; basic mechanical knowledge.
• Two-handed dexterity for tools and equipment use.
• Must operate a wheeled loader and forklift.
• Must be willing to learn how to perform all operational functions.

Responsibilities

• Lift 50lb concrete blocks on a repetitive basis.
• Perform bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping, and shoveling tasks.
• Communicate effectively and follow directions.
• Stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Climb conveyors and vertical ladders; assist with mechanical tasks.
• Use tools and equipment with two-handed dexterity.
• Operate a wheeled loader and forklift safely.
• Learn and execute additional operational functions as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment and support management.
