Qualifications

• High School or GED required; CMA preferred.
• Basic Medical Terminology knowledge required.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• Electronic scheduling experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and exam preparation.
• Check schedules, organize patient flow, and accompany patients as needed.
• Obtain patient history and vital signs; perform screenings per guidelines.
• Chart and relay instructions to patients/families; manage EMR and orders.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain infection control standards.
• Assist with specimen collection, waiving lab tasks as applicable.
• Support patient records, scheduling procedures, and eligibility checks.
