Job summary

Recreation District 1 of St Tammany Parish -- Pelican Park is seeking a Concessions Attendant to provide excellent customer service while selling food, drinks, and merchandise. You will keep the concessions area clean and stocked, and follow food safety standards to ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing orders, preparing items, handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of handling cash transactions, providing change, and operating POS systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take and process customer orders for food, beverages, and other merchandise.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks according to safety and quality standards.
• Handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including countertops, storage areas, and equipment.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down concession stands before and after events.
• Provide information to guests regarding menu items, prices, and special promotions.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.
