Job summary

Arizona Opera is seeking contracted musicians for the 25-26 season. Musicians will be paid per service, with travel stipends and per diems provided as per the CBA. Housing options and hotel rooms are available on select dates.

There is a minimum of 21 services, and tenure may be offered after one year. The string section is production- guaranteed for at least two opera productions per season.

Job description

Contracted musicians with the Arizona Opera are paid on a per-service basis. A travel stipend and per diem are provided based on City of Residence per the CBA. Single occupancy hotel rooms or a housing stipend are provided for only select and limited dates per the CBA. There is an anticipated minimum of 21 services in the 25-26 season. Tenure may be offered after one year of work. AZO has a string section production guarantee of at least two opera productions per season.

Solo Repertoire:

• Exposition of a major romantic or standard concerto for violin with cadenza.


• Mozart - Violin Concerto No. 3, 4 or 5. First movement with cadenza.
