Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a part-time, seasonal Concert Security Guard for spring through summer at our venues. The role involves patrolling, screening guests, and enforcing venue policies to ensure a safe experience for all.

Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a background check and obtain a security license. This position requires standing, walking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with outdoor work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Background check and security licensing training through St. Louis County Police.
• Background clearance and ability to obtain a security license depending on age.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Circulate among guests and employees to preserve safety and protect venue property.
• Monitor entrance/exit of employees, guests and others to prevent theft and protect safety.
• Search guests and bags prior to entry and monitor seating areas.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent access to restricted areas.
• Maintain a safe, orderly and enjoyable atmosphere for guests and staff.
• Know venue maps, seating charts and policies to answer guest questions.
• Patrol premises to prevent intrusion and secure doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort or drive to transport individuals or provide personal protection as needed.
• Warn rule violators and evict or report violations as appropriate.
• Possibly write daily activity reports and incident notes.
• Work outdoors in varying spring/summer weather conditions.

Position Title

Concert Security Guard

The Role

Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment.

Job Functions

• Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
• Perform possible searching of guests and bags prior to entry, continual patrol and monitoring of guest seating areas, entry control of secure areas.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Strive for a constant, safe and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests and employees by ensuring venue policies are followed by guests and employees.
• Gain knowledge of all venue maps, seating charts and venue policies to appropriately answer questions if approached by guests.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
• May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather spring/summer weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Applicants for this position are required to be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Candidates considered for this position will undergo a background check and must be cleared for security guard licensing and training through St.Louis County Police.
• Successful applicants 18-20 years of age will be hired as a licensed security watchman; successful applicants 21+ will be hired as a licensed security guards.
• Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
• Valid St.Louis County Security License is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
• A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting.
