Job summary

Amazon Security seeks a Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager to lead a nationwide team of COMSEC officers, coordinate governance with mission partners, and ensure robust security postures across multiple sites. The role requires travel and a current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in COMSEC, a deep understanding of Type 1 devices and regulatory requirements, and a proven ability to manage complex security programs while delivering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in people management, including development, hiring, performance management
• 5+ years of experience managing operations teams supporting COMSEC, networking, or other IT areas
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Establish team structure to meet customer needs and business goals
• Identify risks and present mitigation plans to leadership
• Lead team to deliver results, manage risks and ensure SLAs
• Ensure teams operate properly, meet SLAs, and drive customer outcomes
• Guide and support teams with resources and processes for org-wide thinking
• Review proposed new programs requiring COMSEC for security
• Advise management and partners on COMSEC posture across locations
• Maintain liaison with Government customers and COMSEC vendors for guidance
• Provide oversight over multiple COMSEC accounts across sites
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support information security programs
