U.S. Fleet Forces Command is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist (GG-12) to oversee COMSEC equipment management, distribution, accountability, and disposal within NCMS. The role emphasizes secure handling and policy compliance for DON COMSEC material.

The position requires submitting responses to COMSEC communications, coordinating transfers, and ensuring timely processing of requests. A Secret clearance and federal suitability are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to perform complex database queries and lead a diverse group of personnel.
• Prepares and transmits official written responses for COMSEC messages.
• Manages COMSEC equipment issuance, transfers, returns, and transactions within COMSEC accounts.
• Updates and maintains the DON COMSEC Procedures Manual; recommends policy updates as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use the Common Tier (CT-1) system to review, evaluate, plan, and transfer COMSEC equipment for proper distribution.
• Process official written and voice requests regarding disposition, transfer, destruction, and issuance of COMSEC equipment for the DON.
• Track receipt and response to all COMSEC-related messages and emails addressed to NCMS.
• Assign daily tasks to designated COMSEC managers and maintain records of progress and completion.
