Job summary

ProSync Technology Group, LLC seeks a passionate COMSEC Engineer II to help ensure security and intelligence compliance with policies and regulations for the U.S. Navy. You will work with leading cybersecurity experts to enhance and assure defense capabilities.

The role requires strong experience in COMSEC key architectures, EKMS/KMI, and NSA/DoD compliance, with TS/SCI clearance and a Top Secret/SCI eligibility. Arlington, VA-based position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent COMSEC experience.
• Experience in COMSEC key architecture and End Cryptological Unit (ECU) deliverables.
• Familiar with NSA UIC process and EKMS/KMI systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain COMSEC key management architectures.
• Manage lifecycle of cryptographic equipment and keying material.
• Coordinate COMSEC activities with developers, stakeholders, and government customers.
• Ensure compliance with COMSEC policies and regulatory guidance.
• Support KMI/EKMS processes for cryptographic material distribution and accountability.
• Provide technical support for cryptographic implementations and testing.

Responsibilities

A COMSEC Engineer specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Communications Security (COMSEC) key management architectures supporting mission and operational requirements
• Support the lifecycle management of cryptographic equipment, keying material, and End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) deliverables in accordance with NSA and DoD requirements
• Coordinate COMSEC activities with system developers, security personnel, program stakeholders, and government customers to ensure secure integration of cryptographic capabilities
• Manage and maintain compliance with COMSEC policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance governing classified communications and information systems
• Utilize and support Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) processes for the distribution, tracking, and accountability of cryptographic material
• Provide technical support for cryptographic implementations, including troubleshooting, configuration management, testing, and operational sustainment
• Assist with COMSEC account inspections, audits, inventory activities, and corrective action efforts to ensure accountability and compliance
• Support the certification, accreditation, and implementation of cryptographic solutions within enterprise and mission environments
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, reports, and security artifacts related to COMSEC operations and key management activities
• Collaborate with government and international partners to support cryptographic interoperability requirements and secure communications initiatives
• Research, evaluate, and provide recommendations regarding cryptographic technologies, key management processes, and COMSEC modernization efforts
• Communicate technical information effectively through written reports, briefings, and coordination with program leadership, government representatives, and operational stakeholders

Requirements

• Four (4) or more years' experience in developing COMSEC key architecture and in End Cryptological Unit (ECU) deliverables, process and certification.
• Specialized experience in cryptographic algorithms and interface with systems developers and international partners.
• Familiarity with NSA UIC process.
• Familiarity with KMI and EKMS systems
• Ability to work with little to no oversight
• Must hold an active IAT/IAM Level II certification. (i.e. Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, CND, CCNA Security, CASP+/SecurityX, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCNP Security, CCSP, etc.)
• A minimum Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Special Access Request (SAR) eligibility or higher is required to be considered for this position.

Educational Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university (OR) an Associate's Degree plus 4 years of additional COMSEC experience may be substituted. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of additional COMSEC work experience may be substituted
