Job summary

AIToolboard in Bethesda, MD is seeking a SETA-focused Research Scientist to support government programs and manage the lifecycle of advanced CV/R&D projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating across government, academia, and industry; evaluating milestones; modeling data; and presenting technical summaries to leadership. Strong writing, PowerPoint, and program-management skills are essential; advanced degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields with eight plus years of work experience, or a Masters' with two plus years.
  • Two years of trajectory analytics or human mobility modeling experience.
  • Two years of R&D in spatiotemporal data modeling.
  • Two years of R&D in machine learning algorithms.
  • One year of experience managing a multi-disciplinary R&D or T&E team.
  • Two years of creating program plans, WBS, and milestone schedules.
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to develop succinct, comprehensive documents from multiple sources.
  • Excellent slide development and PowerPoint skills; able to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-expert audiences.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across government, academic, and industry research teams.
  • Review and assess technical deliverables, milestones, and evaluation results.
  • Track risks, dependencies, and integration issues across performers.
  • Prepare reports, technical summaries, and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between performers, Test & Evaluation contributors, government and transition partners.
  • Provide support for requirements in systems integration, design, development, modeling and data analytics.
  • Stay current on advances in relevant technologies and perform technical studies as requested.
  • Provide technical support and expertise on new concepts for program managers.
  • Support the evaluation of Seedling concepts.
