Job summary

Kitware’s Computer Vision team is seeking a student developer to contribute to open-source projects and government/academic initiatives. You will help visualize results, build testing infrastructure, and run large-scale experiments across diverse datasets using C++ and Python.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with strong coding skills. The position is based in Kentucky and offers compensation between $30 and $45 per hour under contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (sophomore/junior/senior for undergrad).
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• Due to contractual requirements, only U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Be part of Kitware's mission to apply computer vision to environmental monitoring, security, and scientific computing.
• Develop tools to visualize computer vision results and improve testing infrastructure.
• Run experiments on large datasets with varying parameters and organize results.
