Job summary

Kyyba is seeking a Machine Vision & Edge AI Engineer to develop AI-powered vision inspection systems for high-volume manufacturing. You will build production-grade computer vision solutions, optimize models for edge devices, and integrate AI with industrial automation systems to improve product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include training and deploying models, optimizing inference on Jetson and embedded devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, ECE, ME or related field.
  • 5+ years in machine vision and edge AI with real project experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++.
  • Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
  • Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, TensorRT and ONNX Runtime.
  • Experience integrating vision systems with PLCs and protocols like OPC-UA and MQTT.
  • Experience with object detection, image classification, and segmentation.
  • Knowledge of industrial cameras, lighting, optics, and real-time inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Train and optimize models using synthetic data, active learning, and data augmentation.
  • Deploy AI apps using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Optimize inference on NVIDIA Jetson, Intel edge devices, and embedded platforms.
  • Integrate vision systems with PLCs, cameras, and OPC-UA/MQTT/REST APIs.
  • Manage full ML lifecycle: data collection, labeling, validation, deployment, monitoring, retraining.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, automation, IT, and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.

About the Role

We're seeking a Machine Vision & Edge AI Engineer to develop and deploy AI-powered vision inspection systems for high-volume manufacturing. You'll build production-grade computer vision solutions, optimize models for edge devices, and integrate AI with industrial automation systems to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Train and optimize models using synthetic data, active learning, and data augmentation.
  • Deploy AI applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Optimize inference on NVIDIA Jetson, Intel edge devices, and embedded platforms using TensorRT and ONNX Runtime.
  • Integrate vision systems with PLCs, industrial cameras, and protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, and REST APIs.
  • Manage the full ML lifecycle including data collection, labeling, validation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Partner with manufacturing, automation, IT, and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Machine Vision and Edge AI.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
  • Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
  • Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, TensorRT, and ONNX Runtime.
  • Experience integrating machine vision systems with PLCs and industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT).
  • Experience with object detection, image classification, and segmentation models.
  • Knowledge of industrial cameras, lighting, optics, and real‑time vision inspection.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of robotics, IIoT, and industrial automation.
  • Experience with synthetic data generation (GANs, Blender, NeRFs).
  • Project management experience leading technology deployments.
