D3 Embedded in Rochester, NY seeks a Computer Vision and Deep Learning Engineer to develop AI solutions for image and video analysis, train and optimize models, and deploy them to embedded/edge platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams to drive innovation and product capability enhancements.

The ideal candidate has strong Python/C++, OpenCV, and ML framework experience (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and a hands-on approach to end-to-end system development, deployment, and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or PhD in Computer Vision, ML/Deep Learning, CS, or related field.
• 0-5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Proficiency with OpenCV.
• Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or related ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and integrate CV/AI solutions for perception problems such as object detection and segmentation.
• Translate product feature requirements into design specifications and high-level software architectures.
• Deploy real-time CV/AI solutions to embedded and edge platforms.
• Own full lifecycle of new products from concept to integration with other components.
