Job summary

Challenger School is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at our California campuses as a computer teacher. Challenger uses computer programming to teach students to be independent, critical thinkers. As a computer teacher at Challenger, you will be responsible for teaching programming lessons in ways that support this goal.

A proven programming curriculum is already in place and training will be provided. This position may include teaching other elementary subjects, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is required or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with programming languages, especially Python.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Completion of pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly learn and deliver Challenger's curriculum, teaching methods, and philosophy
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
• Prepare daily lesson plans
• Teach programming classes from 1st to 8th grade, per campus needs
• Work patiently with students, parents, and coworkers

Responsibilities
