Amentum is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst I in California to perform multiple phases of systems analysis on predetermined systems. The role emphasizes fact-finding, analysis, and collaboration with higher-level analysts to craft detailed specifications for programmers.

The position requires broad knowledge of system software, computer equipment, and work processes, plus the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. A SECRET clearance and union-related shift eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• May assist a higher-level systems analyst by preparing the detailed specifications required by computer programmers from information developed by the higher-level analyst
• May research routine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents.
• Prepare cost and deadline estimates as required for review.
• Works independently to adapt guides to specific situations; resolve problems and deviations according to established practices; and obtain advice where precedents are unclear or not available.
• Carries out objectives, priorities and deadlines as defined by the supervisor.
• May supervise technician and others who assist in specific assignments.
• Will have some variation within and across contracts and may list additional or specific job duties related to assigned function/level which are not aforementioned.
• Additional duties as required.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a (Secret Clearance) US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain s Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Physical Requirements:

• Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

California: Compensation & Benefits:

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.14-$38.25 (Hourly rate set by CBA)

This position includes a competitive benefits package.

Bi-weekly accrual of 3.39 hours (0 to less than 48 months)

Bi-weekly accrual of 4.93 hours (48 months but less than 108 months)

Bi-weekly accrual of 6.47 hours (108 months or more)

11 paid Holidays (outlined in CBA)

Sick Leave – Newly hired or transferred employees into the bargaining until shall receive up front/front-loaded prorate sick leave hours based on the remaining weeks in the calendar year including the week of hire at the rate of 1.33 hour per week up to 56 hours
