Job summary

CDW is seeking a Computer Repair Technician for the K–12 segment to diagnose and repair Chromebooks, both hardware and software, while adhering to QC standards. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long hours, and working in a production environment.

You'll review work orders, test devices, and perform repairs, with opportunities to rotate across multiple device types and stay current with OEM requirements. This is a long-term contract opportunity with CDW.

Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, bend, lift, walk and carry products in any combination for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a warehouse environment with temperature changes and noise from conveyors and forklights.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately review customer work orders and assess user-reported computer issues to identify and resolve problems.
  • Test and evaluate customer device needs to determine appropriate repairs.
  • Perform electronic device repairs, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot customer hardware or software issues while ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Set up, repair, or replace computer hardware and associated devices as needed.
  • Follow all QC standards, ensuring each device is reviewed per customer request and meets quality checks.
  • Remain flexible with internal movement across K–12 teams to support training on multiple device types and stay current with OEM requirements.
  • Meet established production goals while upholding QC standards.

Job Summary

As a Computer Repair Technician within the K–12 area, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues on various Chromebooks. This role utilizes core skills in hand tools, equipment repair, analysis, and troubleshooting while maintaining quality and production standards.

What You Will Do

Pay range: $16/HR – $18/HR depending on experience and skill set.
