Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Computer Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) to protect critical systems through cybersecurity, network defense, and traffic analysis. The role involves designing secure systems and responding to cyber events in a regular, on-site capacity.

The CNDA will analyze data from IDS, firewalls, and logs, conduct vulnerability assessments, and perform incident response with a focus on defense against evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Job Overview

Computer Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) – Protect critical systems by applying cybersecurity, network defense, and traffic analysis to detect, respond, and prevent threats. Worker Type: Regular

Position Responsibilities

• Design and develop computer or information systems, including programming and network/cybersecurity solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, and information assurance.
• Perform systems engineering and network/system administration.
• Analyze data from multiple sources (intrusion detection systems, firewalls, traffic logs, host system logs) to identify potential vulnerabilities, respond to active cyber events, and defend against emerging threats.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Salary Range

$83,500 - $210,000 (AV general guideline; final compensation determined by position level, responsibilities, experience, geography, and other factors).

ITAR / Export Control

This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons. Certain contracts may require current U.S. citizenship.
