Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Clarkston seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT scans following established procedures. You will prepare patients, position them correctly, and operate tomography equipment while maintaining safety standards.

This full-time role supports day shifts with a 9:00am–5:30pm schedule and requires ARRT CT credentials and BLS certification. Sign-on bonuses are available for commitment, with options for day or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Certified as CT Technologist per ARRT.
• Cross-training to CT within 12 months if not CT certified.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• ARRT certification in general radiologic technology.
• Current BLS certification from AHA/ARC or equivalent, valid beyond start date.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains CT imaging equipment.
• Obtains patient history and explains procedures to ensure comfort.
• Positions patients to capture requested images.
• Identifies, prepares and administers medications within scope as prescribed.
• Maintains radiation safety and documentation in paper and electronic formats.
• Performs routine QA and maintenance of imaging equipment.
• May assist other areas of radiology as needed.

CT Technologist Sign on Bonus for Nights- $15,000 for a 2-year commitment

CT Technologist Sign on Bonus for Days- $10,000 for a 2-year commitment

Position Summary:

Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas consistent with established policies and procedures at a technical level typically requiring general supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.
• Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment including but not limited to tomography scanner equipment.
• In addition to conducting scans, prepares patients for these diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
• Properly identifies, prepares and/or administers medications that are within the technologist’s scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
• Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety in order to reduce exposure to patients, staff and self.
• Maintains all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Maintains an adequate supply of all consumables to perform quality testing.
• Performs all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipment.
• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Clarkston Medical Imaging Department:

• No in-patient population
• 21 bed ED
• Non-Trauma Center
• Stroke Certified
• Outpatient Schedule goes from 7:00am - 6:15pm

Qualifications:

Required:

• Certified as a Computed Tomography Technologist
• If not CT Certified, cross training from another ARRT modality to become CT Certified within 12 months.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
• Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date.

Required for Lead:

• Certified as CT Technologist

Preferred:

• Associate degree in radiology
