Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to perform CT examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and high-quality image acquisition while following radiation safety standards.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT CT certification, with experience in PACS/RIS/EMR systems, and will collaborate with radiologists and other staff to provide exceptional patient

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Position patients appropriately and explain imaging procedures to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast media when required in accordance with facility policies and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure all required imaging is completed prior to submission for interpretation.
  • Transfer and verify images through PACS and other imaging systems for radiologist review.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.
  • Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
  • Follow radiation safety principles, ALARA guidelines, infection prevention standards, HIPAA regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Perform routine quality assurance, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and report equipment issues as needed.
  • Maintain adequate imaging supplies and ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and prepared for patient care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist with general radiography, portable imaging, fluoroscopy, or other imaging procedures as required by the facility and within the scope of practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, continuing education, competency assessments, and staff training as assigned.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Summary

Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for the evaluation and diagnosis of a wide range of medical conditions. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition while following established imaging protocols and radiation safety standards. Collaborates with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. May perform general radiography and other imaging procedures as required by the facility.

Education
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Licensure / Certification
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R).
  • Current ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification or advanced CT certification as required.
  • Current state Radiologic Technologist license where applicable.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Venipuncture certification preferred where required.
  • Fluoroscopy certification preferred or required by facility or state regulations.
Experience
  • Previous Computed Tomography (CT) experience preferred.
  • Experience in hospital, outpatient, emergency, trauma, or acute care settings preferred.
  • Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
