Job Title: Radiology Technologist – Cardiac CT and invasive CT procedures.
Worker Type: Regular
Schedule: Weekend Option
Job Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic medical imaging including CT examinations (Cardiac CT) and invasive procedures as directed by Radiologists, Directors, Supervisors, and Lead Technologist.
- Assist with image acquisition, quality control, and documentation in RIS/HIS; ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Assess vein/site for venipuncture and document contrast administration per departmental guidelines.
- Adhere to departmental policies, safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment; report malfunctions and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Provide patient and family education as appropriate; maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork; support other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school; Associate degree preferred
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: ARRT (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS
- State Licensure: Required where applicable
Professional Licenses and Certifications
- BLS Healthcare Provider – American Heart Association
- ARRT-R Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Working Conditions
- Exposures to blood and body fluids; blood-borne pathogens
- Subject to varying or unpredictable situations; occasional irregular hours
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for long periods; lift/push/pull 100+ pounds; assist patient transfer
- Move radiology equipment and supplies as needed
