Job summary

Holy Cross Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography imaging under the radiologist and imaging director, ensuring high-quality exams and patient safety. The role spans neonatal to geriatric patients and requires strong attention to detail and teamwork with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

The candidate must have an accredited radiology program degree (associates), knowledge of PACS/EMR, and current NM licensure with ARRT certification and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school or college program in Radiology Technology (associates degree) is required.
• Knowledge of Picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.
• Current State licensure: New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program Licensure (NMMIRT) and ARRT certification, BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography imaging exams independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, Imaging Director, lead and staff technologists to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.
• Follow facility guidelines, policies, protocols and professional standards.
• Adhere to union-requirement call expectations.

Job description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions as a medical imaging professional, working under delegated authority of the Radiologist and Imaging Director , and will provide clinically relevant imaging, information and specialties to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Staff CT Technologist activities are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility guidelines, policies and protocols and applicable professional standards. Patient care assignments may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups . Skills required are keen attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and commitment to patient care. As a CT Technologist, you will perform computed technology imaging exams independently with minimal supervision from the lead CT Technologist. You will work closely with lead and staff technologists,physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of exam quality and patient safety. Call expectations follow the hospital's union requirements.
