Job summary

Columbia University in New York, NY seeks a highly skilled researcher to join the X3DNA-DSSR National Resource. The role offers intellectual freedom to pursue publication-oriented research and to lead analyses in G-quadruplexes, i-motifs, and complex motifs within the DSSR framework.

The successful candidate will publish and present findings, master high-end visualizations, and help evolve the next-generation DSSR engine while engaging with a global community of RNA researchers.

Qualifications

• Strong background in structural biology or bioinformatics.
• Experience with scientific software development and Linux/Unix/macOS environments.
• Experience applying machine learning techniques to biological datasets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead research in DSSR framework and related analyses.
• Publish high-impact scientific publications and contribute to peer-reviewed work.
• Develop independent research ideas within the DSSR project and collaborate with a global RNA community.
