The Computational Physicist will develop and apply computational models to understand, predict, and optimize the behavior of particle beams, electromagnetic fields, accelerator components, and Free Electron Lasers.
This role will work closely with accelerator physicists, FEL scientists, RF engineers, controls engineers, and experimental teams to turn theoretical models into practical engineering solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong fundamentals in physics with advanced numerical modeling, scientific computing, and a hands‑on approach to solving complex problems.
The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between USD 125,000/year-180,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job‑related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity, and a full range of benefits.
