Schrödinger is seeking a Computational Chemist to join our Therapeutics Group in Boston. You will contribute to a wide range of drug discovery projects, applying molecular modeling, MD, and quantum methods to optimize leads and drive innovative solutions.

You will collaborate with biologists, chemists, and software engineers to troubleshoot challenges and advance Schrödinger’s discovery technologies, with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary communication and applied modeling.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in computational chemistry, or related field.
• Robust scientific training in molecular modeling, statistical mechanics, and/or quantum mechanics; plus exposure to related areas such as lead optimization, MD, free-energy methods, ML, virtual screening, cheminformatics, ADMET modeling.

We’re seeking a Computational Chemist to join us in our mission to transform the discovery of therapeutics.

As a member of the Schrödinger Therapeutics Group (STG), you’ll join a team of over 60 scientists that includes designers, modelers, computational chemists, medicinal chemists, crystallographers, biochemists, and biologists with experience working on all common target classes and therapeutic areas. The group is supported by more than 100 software developers and engineers, as well as a large-scale computer infrastructure.

Who Will Love This Job

• A structure-based drug designer who may have postdoctoral or pharma/biotech experience
• An excellent communicator who’s been exposed to one or more other disciplines of relevance to drug discovery, such as synthetic organic chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, formulation, biochemistry, physical chemistry, or analytical chemistry
• A computational chemist who’s familiar with coding/scripting languages and/or chemically-aware databases

Estimated base salary range: $100,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
