Job summary

Arc Institute is hiring two Scientist positions in Palo Alto to turn large-scale Perturb-seq, single-cell, and multi-omic datasets into mechanistic biological insights. Qualifications

  • PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, ML, CS, or related field.
  • Postdoc experience is 0–4 years.
  • Strong background in large-scale genomic data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tertiary analyses of Perturb-seq, single-cell sequencing, multi-omic data to link genes to cellular phenotypes.
  • Model perturbation effects and trajectories in cell states across experiments.
  • Collaborate with experimental teams to refine study design and interpretation.
  • Develop and share reusable analysis notebooks and software tools.
  • Present results to Arc researchers and contribute to open-source projects when relevant.
