Job summary

City of Lincoln seeks a Production Compressor Mechanic for the 10/4 day shift in Pecos, TX. You will oversee daily operation and maintenance of compressors and related equipment, coordinating with vendors and the production team to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between compressor rental/service companies and production foreman/maintenance foreman.
• Determine cause of mechanical failures to prevent future issues.
• Support EH&S to ensure compliance with Air Emissions permits.
• Coordinate with operations staff for compressor adjustments for gas lift system and PM schedules.
• Perform daily checks on temperatures, pressures, flow rates, oil levels, lubricators, and valves.

Job description

Oversee Daily Operation and Maintenance of compressors and all equipment associated with compressor.
Function as the primary point of contact between compressor rental/service companies and the production foreman/maintenance foreman.

Determine the cause of mechanical failures to identify ways to prevent future failures.
This may include compressor performance, troubleshooting, and environmental concerns. Support EH&S departments in ensuring compliance with Air Emissions permits.
Coordinate with operations staff for compressor adjustments for gas lift system and PM schedules.

Schedule - 10 on - 4 off.
8 hours per day with a 7.00 am start

Perform Daily checks, but not limited too;

• Temperatures on compressor valves, pressure readings and flow rates.
• Check for proper operation of all sumps and dump valves.
• Check all fluid levels and operation of lubricators.
• Check air compressors, filters, oil levels, belts, pressures and bleed lines.
• Check for leaks, loose bolts, vibration or unusual noises by making visual inspection at least three times per day on all equipment.
• Accurately record all above information and any performed maintenance.
• Perform oil changes on all equipment in a timely manner and record.
• Perform valve changes when needed and record.
• Make notifications when problems are suspected.
• Order, stock and label spare equipment needed to keep facility in operation, in an orderly fashion.
• Keep facility clean and neat,
• Help out with other "Area" operations when time allows.
• Operate in a Safe and environmentally sound manner.
• Stay in contact with vendors for equipment, oils, chemicals and filters for updated revisions and recommendations.
• Answer call-outs on compressor facility and when needed for other operations.
