Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our established, high-volume ophthalmology practice in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

This opportunity is ideal for an established or new graduate interested in stepping into an established practice with strong referral demand within a physician-led organization that values long-term partnership.

Practice at a Glance
  • Comprehensive ophthalmology – medical and surgical treatment of a broad spectrum of ocular disease
  • Solid volume of cataract surgery. Premium lenses both toric and multifocal lenses, are well compensated.
  • Medical retina including intravitreal injections, supported by a surgical retina specialist
  • Broad spectrum of ocular pathology, including complex and tertiary-level cases.
  • Full-service practice with other comprehensive ophthalmologists and subspecialists, including glaucoma, pediatrics, retina, and oculoplastics.
  • Collegial, team-oriented environment with long-standing physician collaboration.
  • Well-developed surgical infrastructure and experienced clinical support teams.

Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program and fellowship training is required for this role. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
