American Academy of Ophthalmology in the greater Los Angeles area seeks a BC/BE ophthalmologist with a California license (or eligibility) for a full-time role with a strong surgical component. The position includes cataract/anterior segment surgery, glaucoma management including MIGS, and general medical eye care.

New graduates and experienced surgeons are encouraged to apply. The practice offers partnership and ASC ownership for the right candidates, with a competitive base plus productivity

Qualifications

• Must be board eligible or certified in ophthalmology and hold California license or be eligible to obtain one.
• Proactive about building referral relationships and ownership opportunities.
• Comfortable across anterior segment surgery including MIGS.

Responsibilities

• Perform cataract and anterior segment surgery with autonomy.
• Manage glaucoma medically and surgically including MIGS.
• General medical eye care and collaboration with cornea and retina specialists.

About us

An established, multi-site ophthalmology practice in the greater Los Angeles area with a large, loyal patient base, modern facilities, and an experienced support team.

Position Description

Full-time ophthalmology with a strong surgical component: cataract and anterior segment, glaucoma medical and surgical management including MIGS, and general medical eye care. Surgical volume from day one through established referral relationships, with autonomy to build your own panel. Cornea, medical retina, and glaucoma-trained surgeons welcome. Call is shared and light.

Who we're looking for

BC/BE ophthalmologist, California licensed or eligible, comfortable across anterior segment surgery. Glaucoma fellowship a plus, not required. Proactive about referral relationships and genuinely interested in ownership. New graduates and experienced surgeons both encouraged to apply.

Compensation
