Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted NP license in Texas.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.

• Current DEA license.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with outpatient and inpatient electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing per guidelines.
• Participate in quality audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care.
• Perform admission histories & physicals.
• Conduct daily hospital rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with implementation of therapeutic fetal surgery plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies.
• Discharge planning including documentation, writing prescriptions, explaining discharge/post-operative instructions, and patient education.
• Willingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills for fetal viability, presentation, biophysical profiles and ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures.
• Chart review and data collection for neonatal follow-up for clinical database.
• Multi-disciplinary conference presentation preparation.
• Work collaboratively with team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders for comprehensive care.
• Ensure continuous communication with leadership to enhance healthcare services.
• Provide patient navigation between inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows.
• Support and participate in research initiatives within the Center.
• Other related functions as assigned

Job description

Required Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying organization (e.g., AANP or ANCC)
• Current (Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
• Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to utilize software for data entry, information retrieval as well as outpatient and inpatient electronic medical records
• Aptitude to work in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in women’s health, OBGYN or family medicine preferred.

Salary Range

$110,000+ depending on qualifications
