Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician License in Illinois (PTCB preferred or required).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding.
• Ability to work on site 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri) with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounded medications according to USP and SOPs.
• Follow gowning, PPE, and safety procedures for hazardous drug handling.
• Measure, mix, label, and package compounded prescriptions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, compliant work environment following cleaning protocols.
• Document all compounding activities and batch records with accuracy.
• Assist in inventory management, rotate stock, restock supplies, and count cycles.
• Report deviations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to Lead Technician or Pharmacist.
• Receive, store, and verify ingredients per regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in training to stay current with compounding standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and teammates to troubleshoot production issues.
