Job summary

Quva Pharma seeks a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to ensure quality and safety in sterile operations at our Bloomsbury, NJ facility. After training, you will prepare sterile compounds per work instructions in a controlled clean room, documenting steps per GDP and industry standards.

This is a full-time, safety-sensitive role with potential drug testing. Shifts include 1st and 2nd; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow garb and gown protocols to maintain sterility.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check.
  • Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Able and willing to follow garb and gown requirements to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices.

Responsibilities

  • Compound sterile preparations accurately according to detailed instructions.
  • Clean work area and cleanroom (wipe surfaces, occasional mopping).
  • Keep accurate documentation for GDPs traceability.
  • Comply with cGMPs and ISO standards at key steps in the process.

Job description

Our Compounding Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include preparing sterile compounds according to work instructions in an aseptic, clean room environment. Your attention to detail and adherence to precise procedures will guarantee that our medications meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and quality, providing patients with the best possible care and outcomes. This is a full-time role in our Bloomsbury, NJ location. This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.

1st shift 6am- 2:30pm

1st shift 4am- 2:30pm

2nd shift 2pm- 10:30pm

2nd shift 2pm- 12:30am

What the Compounding Pharmacy Technician Does Each Day:
  • Compound sterile preparations accurately according to detailed instructions
  • Clean work area and cleanroom (typically wiping down surfaces with aseptic wipe and occasional mopping)
  • Keep accurate documentation for accountability and traceability of product following Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
  • Comply with cGMPs and company International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards upon key steps in the work

  • Have a strong attention to detail and carefully follows compounding protocols and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the job
  • Are proactive and demonstrate initiative when appropriate; uses their time wisely

Minimum Requirements for this Role:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • 18+ years of age
  • Able and willing to follow "garb and gown" requirements from head to toe in order to maintain a sterile, clean room environment. This includes:
    • Hand washing
    • Wearing hair net, shoe covers, facemask, sterile gown, and gloves, etc.
    • Stringent regulations concerning, for example, the carrying of cellphones, the wearing of jewelry and makeup, and the length / type of fingernails
  • Familiarity with and comfortable using mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, handhelds
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge:
  • Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) License
  • Certified in ACPE sterile products
  • Experience in pharmacy compounding
  • Knowledge of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Processes)
  • Knowledge of ISO 5/7 environment cleanroom gowning

  • The base compensation for this role is estimated to be within the range described below. The compensation offered may vary depending on relevant factors such as experience, skills, training, education, certifications, geographic location, and market conditions
  • Salary Range: $27.00-$30.00/hour plus shift differential for 2nd shift
