Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA in Grand Island, NY is seeking a compounding operator for the 3rd shift (10 PM–6:30 AM) to accurately weigh, mix, and verify chemical compounds for product formulation in a Class 100,000 clean room environment.

You will monitor mixing and ancillary equipment, perform calibrations and preventive maintenance, document each batch per cGMPs, and work closely with the Aseptic Control Operator Filler to assure timely delivery of formulated products.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
• Pharma manufacturing experience preferred; nanotechnology experience a plus.
• Heavy lifting is required – 40+ pounds.
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Must be trained and qualified in PPE (respirators).
• Must have good attention to detail, basic problem solving, communication and good documentation skills.
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability a plus.
• The Company’s primary business language is English. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• 3rd Shift is 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday nights
• Hourly Range: $25.17 – 27.17/hour
• Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The compounding operator is responsible for the accurate weighing, checking and verification when mixing specific chemical compounds for product formulation in a Class 100,000 clean room environment. Performs monitoring of mixing and ancillary support equipment throughout formulation and filling and executes calibrations and preventive maintenance activities. Routinely complies with cGMP’s, departmental SOP’s and company policies and maintains accurate documentation for each batch manufactured.

This position requires experience working in pharmaceutical, food or process related manufacturing environment; ability to accurately weigh measure and follow written direction and standard operating procedures. Additionally, this position requires good mechanical and trouble shooting skills and must be able to communicate and work in a team environment. The compounder operator directly interacts with Aseptic Control Operator Filler and Stopper Prep Operator to assure the timely delivery of formulated products. Make minor adjustments and assist with changeover and set-up to equipment.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
• Preferred years minimum of experience working in pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment. Nanotechnology experience a plus.

• Must have good attention to detail, basic problem solving, communication and good documentation skills.
