St. Louis Composting in Belleville, IL is seeking a Laborer to support our composting operations. You will help ensure materials are clean and ready for processing, and assist with fueling and operating equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Yard waste is sorted, trash removed, and materials transported to dumpster.
  • Operate equipment including a small front loader, skid steer, and truck for water or fuel deliveries.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Assist with loading/unloading and organizing compost materials.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic and grow by taking on diverse responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Yard Waste Management: Sift through yard waste to remove trash and transport to dumpster in a small front loader.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various pieces of equipment, including a standard shift truck delivering water or fuel, small front loader, and skid steer.
  • Safety First: Prioritize safety by adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
  • General Tasks: Assist with loading and unloading materials, organizing materials for compost, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Skill Growth: Showcase your strong work ethic and eagerness to grow by taking on a variety of responsibilities while also expanding your skill set.
