Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Composite Technician for the Evening Shift to build and assemble composite components for the Neutron launch vehicle. The role focuses on bonding, lamination, and precision assembly in a high-tech aerospace production environment.

The Technician level position ranges from I to Senior, requiring 8+ years for Senior, and offers a competitive base pay with comprehensive benefits. Expect to work 5:30 pm–4:00 am, Monday–Thursday, on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience in composite production, military equipment maintenance, or mechanical troubleshooting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience using various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble structures including setup, bonding and fastener applications.
• Laminate assemblies by placing composite materials.
• Prepare parts for bagging with bleeders, thermocouples, probes and vacuum connections.
• Vacuum bag processing, bonding, and autoclave curing.
• Make layouts and check dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
• Fit Honeycomb, foam and syntactic core.
• Refurbish thermal protection systems.
• Integrate mechanical hardware.
• Perform standard composite and integration building techniques.
• May work on other Rocket Lab products or travel as required.
