Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking skilled workers in Wichita, KS, to build composite structure details and assemblies using carbon and other composites. You will follow drawings and process specs to assure on-time delivery of quality products while performing multi-tasking and working on platforms up to ten feet high.

A DoD security clearance is required or obtainable, and a union environment applies. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on use of tools in a manufacturing setting

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Experience working with composite materials and layup processes.
• Ability to operate in a union environment and adhere to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Build composite structure details and assemblies using carbon and other composites.
• Follow drawings, process specs, QA requirements to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
• Perform multi-tasking and multi-machine operation where applicable.
• Work on platforms up to ten feet above ground and in confined spaces.
• Maintain clean working environment and use small tools for contour lay-up.
