Job summary

Rock West Composites, Inc. seeks a Materials, Process, and Test Engineer in San Diego, CA to advance composite materials and manufacturing processes.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and testing labs to develop testing methodologies, generate material data, and drive process improvements. Responsibilities include qualification of materials and processes, executing mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing, and supporting documentation and customer deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials science engineering, aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in materials, testing, manufacturing, or product development.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop testing methodologies for composite materials and structures.
• Coordinate testing with external labs and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze test results and maintain material property data and records.
• Support manufacturing process improvements and standardization.
