Job summary

iKon Boats, LLC is expanding into freshwater bass boat production with a focus on advanced yacht-inspired composites engineering. The Composites Manufacturing Engineer role drives process improvements, reduces variation, and enhances product flow on the production floor.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gel coating, vacuum infusion, resin transfer molding, open molding, and tooling fabrication, plus strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience with gel coating, vacuum infusion, resin transfer molding, open molding, and tooling fabrication.
• Experience using engineering tools and methods in manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for composite manufacturing processes to optimize product flow and reduce variation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions with documentation and training.
• Analyze process data to measure improvements and efficiency.
• Integrate new technology and equipment into composite fabrication to meet expectations.
• Assist with new model prototyping and production introduction.
• Ensure accuracy of drawings and bills of materials for projects.
• Create, maintain, and catalog manufacturing standards for composites and related materials.
