Job summary

eTeam in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Composite/Carbon Fiber Technician for an on-site, 11-month assignment. You will fabricate and analyze composite structures, prototype parts, and support process development for footwear-related composites.

The role requires about 3 years in aerospace or similar industries, with carbon fiber prepregs and layup knowledge. Some travel may occur; obvious teamwork and clear documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in aerospace or similar industry.
• Degree preferred, not a hard requirement.
• Experience with carbon fiber or fiberglass prepreg.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform composite prototyping, molding, and bonding operations per specs.
• Prepare materials, tooling, jigs, and equipment for manufacturing.
• Cut, trim, and shape composite materials using hand and power tools.
• Apply resins and adhesives to create composite structures.
• Conduct quality inspections and address defects or non-conformities.
• Operate equipment such as vacuum pumps, ovens, and curing processes.
• Assist in developing manufacturing processes and fixtures.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate production and material usage records.
• Adhere to safety procedures and keep a clean workspace.
• Perform part and material analysis on fabricated parts.
