Shepeard Community Blood Center in Augusta, GA is seeking a Lab Technician to prepare blood components from donor blood in accordance with FDA and AABB guidelines. You will adhere to SCBC policies, support laboratory staff, and promote positive donor relations to ensure quality service.

You will perform daily routines, collaborate with department teammates, and report to the Assistant Director of Technical Services or their designee.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work autonomously in a laboratory setting.
• Physical ability to stand and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must complete on-the-job training within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare blood components from donor blood per standard operating procedures.
• Adhere to SCBC/department policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support other laboratory and hospital services staff, promoting positive customer relations.
• Perform assigned daily routines promptly.
• Collaborate with department personnel to provide high-quality service to donors and customers.
• Report to the Assistant Director of Technical Services or their designee.

Under the direction of the Lab Team leader, prepare blood components from donor blood in accordance with FDA and AABB guidelines to ensure the safety of blood products for patient use and further manufacturing.
