Job summary

A leading company in IT Services and Consulting is seeking a mid-senior level Component Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA. The role involves executing production qualifications, performing root cause analysis, and driving supplier improvements. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in medical devices or capital equipment, and must be onsite 5 days a week.

1. Execute and complete part production qualification deliverables, including Gage R&R, Measurement Correlation, Process Capability, and Process Validation.
2. Perform investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative actions for non-conformances of purchased components.
3. Knowledge of Part Qualification, Process FMEAs, Process Validations, Measurement Correlation, and Process Capability.
4. Drive suppliers to continuously improve business and manufacturing processes.
5. Work with suppliers to improve quality, identify, and execute cost reductions and capacity improvements.
6. Demonstrable knowledge in at least one manufacturing process: machined metal components, plastic molded parts, aluminum castings, electrical cables, PCAs, or motion control components (motors, brakes, sensors).
7. 3-5 years of related experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Design Engineering.
8. Preferred experience at a medical device or capital equipment company in a different industry.
9. 25% travel domestically.
10. Onsite 5 days a week at Sunnyvale, CA.
