Position is responsible for providing compliance support, grant accounting and technical support to the Executive Director of Special Education and Student Support Services and the Director of Special Education. This position serves as a liaison between the Office of Special Education and Student Support Services (OSESS) and Budget and Finance in grant budget development, financial reporting and management of local, state and federal funds related to special education and student support services activities.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Associate’s degree in Business or other related field or any equivalent combination of experience, training and education. Working knowledge of OMB uniform Guidance for Federal Awards preferred. Must have experience in analyzing data, interpreting information, and providing logical conclusions and projections. Must possess knowledge of executive level support service management and be able to work under minimal supervision. Must have ability to exercise professional decorum. Must possess excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. and the ability to handle details accurately. Ability to work effectively and maintain composure under pressure of short deadlines. Proficient in filing and documentation management, electronic and paper-based. Must develop and maintain a strong knowledge base in Special Education law, due process, programs, services, best practices, and other related areas. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
