Job summary

Kalsee Credit Union is seeking a Compliance Analyst to serve as the point of contact for questions related to state and federal laws and regulations. The role includes oversight of internal processes to ensure policy adherence, reviews of risk-related activity, and membership reviews.

The position involves supporting compliance across departments, handling inquiries via phone, Teams, and email, and participating in ongoing training to strengthen controls and risk management.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a financial institution required.
• Two years of credit union compliance preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Internal audit utilizing Daily Audit Link Reviews for transaction integrity.
• Membership and account opening reviews.
• Daily abnormal activity monitoring review.
• Recommend and track transaction activity for training, control enhancement, and continued education.
• Review and process CTRs.
• Review and recommend reporting of SARs.
• Process FinCEN 314(a) bi-weekly.
• Assist with credit union internal controls.
• Process OFAC scans.
• Provide internal support via phone and email.
• Branch cash audits.
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/AML/OFAC and participate in annual training.

This position is a point of contact for Kalsee team members with questions related to state and federal laws as well as regulations that Kalsee is required to adhere to. The compliance team provides support through phone contact, Microsoft Teams, as well as email. This position will also provide oversight of internal processes performed by other departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. This role also reviews activity associated with different levels of risk to Kalsee, as well as Kalsee’s membership.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Internal audit utilizing Daily Audit Link Reviews for transaction integrity
• Membership and account opening reviews
• Daily abnormal activity monitoring review
• Recommend and track transaction activity for training, control enhancement, and continued education
• Review and process CTR’s
• Review and recommend reporting of SAR’s
• Process Bi-weekly FINCEN 314(a)
• Assist with Credit Union Internal Controls
• Process OFAC Scans
• Provide internal support via phone and email
• Branch cash audits
• Review activities for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering / Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations and participate in annual training as required by the BSA/OFAC Compliance Officer.

Requirements

Knowledge/Experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• 2 years minimum previous financial institution experience required
• 2 years previous credit union compliance experience preferred
• Aptitude for handling member / co-workers’ issues effectively and professionally
• Teamwork oriented with the ability to work in a detailed, intense, multi-task environment
• Sound communication skills – verbal & written

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• BSA Certification preferred but not required
• ACH Accredited Professional preferred but not required
