Job summary

Zen Educate Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Compliance Specialist to safeguard the platform by vetting educators, verifying background checks, immunizations, and training certifications.

You will join the Compliance team to uphold state and federal standards, assist with audits, help develop policies, and promote a culture of safety and trust across the organization.

Location: Los Angeles, Hybrid (3 days in office)

Salary: $47,000 USD

Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm (40 hours per week)

$55,000 - $55,000 a year

We're looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our team. This isn't just an administrative role; it's a chance to be a guardian of quality and safety. You'll be on the front lines, ensuring that every educator who walks into a classroom through our platform is fully vetted, qualified, and prepared to make a positive impact.

What You'll Do

You'll be a key player on our Compliance team, using your sharp eye for detail to ensure we're adhering to all state, federal, and internal standards. This means you'll be:

• Reviewing and approving educator profiles to confirm all documentation is accurate, from background checks and references to immunizations and training certifications.
• Assisting with background checks and regular compliance audits to maintain our high standards of safety.
• Collaborating with a passionate team to develop and implement policies that protect students and schools.
• Helping to build a culture of compliance across the entire organization, ensuring everyone understands the importance of our mission.

Who We're Looking For

• A meticulous and detail-oriented individual with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfortable with technology and proficient in tools like the Google Suite.
• An excellent communicator, both in writing and in conversation.
• Confident in handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
• Driven by a passion for child safety in education, understanding that your work directly contributes to a secure and supportive learning environment.
• Prior experience in a compliance or administrative role is an asset but not a requirement!
