Job summary

Keystone Human Services seeks a Compliance Specialist to join the Corporate Compliance and Integrity team in Harrisburg, PA. You will support compliance monitoring, documentation and billing review activities, regulatory and licensing support, data tracking, reporting, follow-up, and administrative coordination.

The role focuses on promoting adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining records, and coordinating cross-functional compliance actions with strong communication

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of work experience in compliance, auditing, documentation review, billing support, licensing, regulatory oversight, healthcare, human services, quality assurance and/or related administrative support
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience supporting compliance monitoring and/or corrective action follow-up preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promote Keystone’s mission, values, and culture through all aspects of the role
  • Support documentation and billing audit activities, including data collection, documentation review, tracking audit findings, corrective action follow-up, audit readiness, and organization of supporting materials
  • Support licensing and regulatory activities, including preparation for licensing reviews, organization of licensing documentation, tracking citations and plans of correction, and monitoring regulatory follow-up
  • Maintain compliance records, audit tools, tracking documents, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other department materials in an organized, accurate, consistent, and confidential manner
  • Coordinate the review, tracking, and follow-up of compliance concerns, documentation and billing issues, regulatory findings, conflicts of interest, exclusion-related items, corrective actions, and other compliance-related matters
  • Review data and compliance information to identify patterns, inconsistencies, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen monitoring, documentation accuracy, billing compliance, licensing readiness, and corrective action accountability
  • Communicate professionally with internal departments and external stakeholders to request information, provide follow-up, clarify expectations, support audit readiness, and promote timely completion of compliance-related tasks
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve consistency, accuracy, timeliness, internal controls, accountability, and effectiveness within compliance processes
  • Perform other compliance-related duties and projects assigned

Job description

Keystone Human Services is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Corporate Compliance and Integrity team. In this role, you will support compliance monitoring, documentation and billing review activities, regulatory and licensing support, data tracking, reporting, follow‑up, and administrative coordination. The Compliance Specialist helps support Keystone Human Services’ compliance program by promoting adherence to applicable laws, regulations, organizational policies, documentation standards, billing requirements, licensing expectations, and compliance‑related processes. This position supports audit readiness, monitors corrective action follow‑up, identifies trends and potential risk areas, and assists with coordinating cross‑functional compliance activities.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Full‑time, exempt position
  • Starting annual salary: $60,000, may increase based on education and experience
  • Actual compensation will be determined based on localized market data, skills, experience, and education

Education & Experience Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of work experience in compliance, auditing, documentation review, billing support, licensing, regulatory oversight, healthcare, human services, quality assurance and/or related administrative support
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, healthcare administration, business administration, compliance, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience supporting compliance monitoring and/or corrective action follow‑up preferred
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to review information carefully, identify inconsistencies, analyze details, recognize trends, organize follow‑up items, and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with the ability to read, understand, and apply written information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and the ability to learn electronic systems, databases, and compliance tracking tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre‑employment process, including background checks, clearances, and verifications
