Job summary

The Arizona Department of Child Safety seeks a Compliance Officer to monitor contract compliance and service quality among transportation vendors. Based in Phoenix with the Fleet Management division, you will serve as a central liaison coordinating with the Contracts officer, statewide staff, and vendors to ensure adherence to contract requirements.

Responsibilities include site visits, data review, and ongoing communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of guardian and other software applications is a plus.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and public sector contracting.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The transportation compliance officer will be responsible for monitoring service quality and contract compliance among the contracted transportation vendors. The position will function as a central liaison, partnering with the DCS Contracts officer, the DCS statewide staff and transportation vendors to support effective service delivery, communication and consistent adherence to contract requirements.

Job Duties
  • Ensures fidelity and compliance to the contract, monitoring the service delivery through quality assurance and technical assistance site visits throughout the state. Follows up with action items through the course of the visit. Works collaboratively with the contracted vendor liaison to problem solve barriers and ongoing challenges.
  • Oversees, monitors and evaluates service delivery to support outcomes, compliance and accuracy of reports. Identifies patterns that need improvement and helps identify solutions. Reviews with the DCS Contracts Specialist the monthly reports from the contracted vendor and identifies areas of improvement.
  • Facilitates ongoing and regular communication with contracted vendors.
  • Participates in meetings with various DCS statewide staff and various stakeholders. Helps educate DCS staff to inform them of the contracted service and requirement. May require driving on state business.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Selective Preference(s)

Preference will be given to candidates with 1–2 years of field experience in case management, as this background offers valuable understanding of family needs and contract requirements, supporting stronger advocacy and more effective oversight of provider performance.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Employee must obtain and maintain clearance of the DCS Central Registry.
