Job summary

Coinbase is hiring an Analytics Engineer to join the Compliance Technology team within the Platform organization. You will build and own end-to-end data pipelines powering compliance detection and decisioning, partnering with Compliance, Product, and Engineering to ensure monitoring and auditable controls.

You will drive data quality, instrument datasets, and translate control requirements into scalable data structures, improving signal quality and measurement of control performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics/data engineering or data-heavy roles.
• Strong SQL with complex transformations and data quality checks.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data models with dbt and Airflow.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration in regulated environments.
• Python for automation, pipeline development, and data analysis.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain datasets and data models powering compliance controls.
• Own data quality, validation, monitoring, and lineage documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close upstream data gaps.
• Improve detection signal quality and reduce non-actionable noise.
• Develop measurement frameworks and repeatable reporting for leadership and auditors.
