Job summary

San Diego County Credit Union is seeking a HMDA Compliance Support role to assist with HMDA reporting accuracy and completeness for mortgage loan applications. The position emphasizes compliance with HMDA and related AML/BSA procedures, requiring attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration.

This role supports the mortgage operations team by reviewing LAR data, validating originated and non-originated files, and ensuring regulatory alignment with reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience working in mortgage operations or compliance.
  • Knowledge of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
  • Knowledge of residential lending practices, compliance and documentation.
  • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Well-organized, efficient, and able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with all levels of management and credit union staff.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews residential loan applications to ensure HMDA reportable applications have been identified.
  • Conducts validation reviews of originated and non-originated applications to determine proper action and reporting.
  • Compares LAR data fields to source documents to ensure compliance with HMDA requirements.
  • Identifies, tracks, and corrects data discrepancies.
  • Ensures the integrity and completeness of all LAR data fields.
  • Participate in AML/BSA compliance training as assigned. Adhere to credit union AML/BSA policy and procedures including CTR rules and form preparation, identify and review suspicious activity, perform OFAC comparisons, and properly identify individuals in accordance with AML/BSA regulations.
